On Sept 12th, the Vikings raised funds for the fight against cancer through the Pink Viking Project football game against East Lansing.  Each player wore a sponsored pink jersey bearing the name of a cancer survivor or victim.  Pink Viking Project t-shirts were sold, which also served as a ticket to the game.  Prior to game time, athletes joined sponsors and families for a walk on the track to honor all cancer victims and then special introductions before taking the field. Proceeds will go to the Mission Hope of Cancer Fund, a Jackson-based nonprofit that provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families.  Highlights from this special event are pictured below.
