Dear Parents:
Along with the Jackson High School faculty and staff, I welcome you and your son/daughter to be a member of the Viking class of 2014.
On Monday, February 8th, an 8th Grade Parent/Student Orientation will be held in the Jackson High School auditorium, beginning at 6:30 P.M. The purpose of our orientation will be to provide an opportunity to learn more about the Jackson High School curriculum and to ask questions of high school faculty members. It will also be a time to tour Jackson High School and meet with members of our student body.
Staff members from each department will also be available to answer questions that you may have, as your 8th grader is making the transition in becoming a high school student. The Jackson High School Administrative Team and Counselors will be available to meet with you as well. Additionally, our 9th grade counseling staff for the Class of 2014 will be going to the Middle School at Parkside later in February to meet individually with your incoming 9th grader. Your child will need a parent/guardian signature to approve their course election worksheet.
The Jackson High School faculty is committed to providing the best educational experience for your son/daughter and recognizes the importance of close home-school cooperation. We know you will find our orientation information useful. Please feel free to contact the Jackson High School counseling staff or myself if you have any questions. As a staff, we are looking forward to working with your son/daughter. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jeremy Patterson
