Nutrition Services at Jackson Public Schools is based at the Operations Center across from Hunt Elementary. It is our mission to have well-trained staff members dedicated to fully satisfying all our customers in a safe and friendly atmosphere achieving higher than the national average participation by students in our meal programs requiring the essential help of parents and community, administrators and other staff members. We are committed to educate and model to others proper nutrition, which helps students succeed physically and academically.
The Food Service Department provides breakfast and lunch daily at all of Jackson Public School’s facilities. Snacks are served at after-school educational programs. A dinner program is available at many elementary schools, Middle School at Parkside, and TA Wilson for students who are enrolled in after-school programs.

Meals are availble at several of our buildings at no charge to any student regardless of the household income. Breakfast and lunch is available at all students at no cost the following buildings: Bennett Elementary, Cascades Elementary, Frost Elementary, Hunt Elementary, McCulloch Elementary, Northeast Elementary, and Wilson Academy. A Universal Free Breakfast program is available to all students enrolled in Dibble Elementary and Sharp Park Academy and Parkside Middle School. Every student up through the eighth grade, no matter their economic circumstance, is eligible to eat breakfast at no charge at these buildings. We urge all students to eat a healthy breakfast whether they eat at school or at home. Many studies show the benefits of breakfast and the important role it plays in learning.
