Dear Sharp Park Academy families and community, My name is Jasper Lusby, and I am honored to be able to introduce myself as the new principal at Sharp Park Academy. I have worked in public education for 16 years; ten years spent as a classroom teacher, and six years working in administration as an assistant principal at the middle school level, elementary school principal, and director of exceptional student services for Douglas Unified School district in Douglas, Arizona. During my time in Arizona, I was an active supporter of youth sports, girl scouts, boy scouts and youth ministry. I am also a member of the P.E.O sisterhood. In May of 2015, my family relocated to the Jackson area in order to be closer to family. During the 2015-2016 school year, I was the principal of Horizon Elementary school in Holt Public Schools. Through my various experiences in administration, I know being an elementary school principal is the best job in the world, and my number one goal is your children's’ success! PLEASE sign up to help by clicking here. We need people to run the cash register, help students look for books, organize books. We also need set up and tear down people. They're all very simple jobs but we need parents/grandparents to fill them! Let me know if you have any questions or would like to help in any way! http://signup.com/go/bJS2hS
Dear Parents, We have our second and final Austrian group coming through Jackson starting on March 17th. The group of 21 students ages 15-16 will remain here until March 28th. We are again looking for kind hearted families here in the community who would be willing to take on one of these students during their stay here. There are many planned events they will be participating in during the school days. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a little perspective into another country and their customs, as well as giving your own children the chance to see that people are just like them all over the world. For all host families there is a small $50 reimbursement provided to aid in defraying some of the cost of hosting one of these students. We had an exceptional experience in the fall and look forward to creating more positive and happy memories. Please contact Herr Bowers for more information. Email: email@example.com Telephone 841-2898
