JHS Guidance and Careers

Jackson High School
students have a wide range of guidance and support as they prepare for
life beyond school. Whether a student is planning to enter the work
force immediately after high school, enroll in a college, or explore
other options, the staff of JHS has the experience and the desire to
help our students succeed.
The following links
direct you to people who work explicitly with students who need help
with career planning. Please keep in mind, however, that many teachers
and other staff are willing and able to help with decision-making.
Career Preparation
The
advisory for career preparation in Jackson Public Schools seek to promote
the use of Michigan's
Career Pathways model and the Educational Development Plan (EDP).
Career
Resource Center
The JHS Career Resource Center (CRC) provides many services
related
to college and career preparation. Students should use the CRC for help with
their EDP. college applications, and financial aid.
Counseling
The grade counselors at Jackson High School are assigned to
specific graduating classes. This means that students have the same counselor
for all four years. Get to know your counselor!
Records Request
Due to increasing costs, the following fees will be assessed for records requests: Transcripts - $3.00/first copy $1.00/each additional copy, Health Records - $10.00, Birth Certificates - $10.00, Full set of records, $25.00
