JHS Guidance and Careers

Jackson High School students have a wide range of guidance and support as they prepare for life beyond school. Whether a student is planning to enter the work force immediately after high school, enroll in a college, or explore other options, the staff of JHS has the experience and the desire to help our students succeed.

The following links direct you to people who work explicitly with students who need help with career planning. Please keep in mind, however, that many teachers and other staff are willing and able to help with decision-making.

Career Preparation
The advisory for career preparation in Jackson Public Schools seek to promote the use of Michigan's Career Pathways model and the Educational Development Plan (EDP).

CRC logoCareer Resource Center
The JHS Career Resource Center (CRC) provides many services related to college and career preparation. Students should use the CRC for help with their EDP. college applications, and financial aid.

The grade counselors at Jackson High School are assigned to specific graduating classes. This means that students have the same counselor for all four years. Get to know your counselor!
