JHS Keyboarding

   The electronic music course is another course offering that is unique to Jackson Public Schools. Students learn the basics of playing the keyboard, music theory, songwriting, and the process of building and running a sound production studio in that order. Previous knowledge of a musical instrument is preferred but not required. In the electronic music lab, the music studio is viewed as a musical instrument and students must learn their craft by learning to use a keyboard synthesizer, understand musical form, and gain knowledge of the equipment and software that is being used.
