Hello Dibble Families! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Marti Kuhn. I am the new Principal at Dibble Elementary School. I graduated from Jackson Public Schools, attended Western Michigan University for my undergraduate work, and then received my Masters from Eastern Michigan University. I am a very proud Viking! Personally, I have been in education for 30 years. Teaching in grades 2nd to 8th grade for 18 years. The past 12 years I have been in Administration spending the first year of my Administration career at Middle School at Parkside. In 2008, I became the Principal at Cascades Elementary School where I have been for the last 11 years. Kristina Kulka will be joining our team at Dibble Elementary as our secretary. She brings great knowledge and skills to Dibble. Kristina also has three children in our district... Kristina is just as excited and eager as I am to meet our Dibble students and families. This summer we have been working on our Hybrid Learning Plan. The Dibble Staff and I are prepared to provide an excellent education to your students with our Hybrid/Flipped classroom. For the upcoming school year, JPS will be using the “Flipped Classroom” model for instruction. Students will be provided with technology to take home every day. Y5-2 will receive an iPad and grades 3-12 will receive a Chromebook. Instruction will be provided five days a week online. Two days a week students will receive in-person individual instruction with their subject area teachers and in small groups to reach mastery. This provides JPS with the flexibility to meet the individual needs of students, to step forward into a full-time face-to-face as well as a step backward into a full-time at-home instruction as directed by State and local officials. Our staff will be assisting parents and students with this new instructional model so that you may also be able to provide support for your student.
