  • This is Mr. Lewis with your weekly announcements. We know that love is in the air and Valentine’s Day is tomorrow but please be reminded that VALENTINE DELIVERIES for students will NOT be accepted at school because of the disruption it causes. Please have your deliveries sent to the student’s home, not to school. Thank you for your cooperation.

On February 16 from 6-8 pm, the JHS Theatre Department will hold auditions for the spring play, The Wizard of Oz. No experience is necessary.

Friday, February 18 there will be no school for our students as our staff will be in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Professional Learning.

In light of the low numbers of positive cases, JPS will lift our mask mandate. Beginning tomorrow we will revert back to mask optional for both staff and students. Please note that the mask mandate still remains for school buses as the CDC continues to require masks on all public transportation including school buses.

If your child is not part of an athletic team, a club, or the after school program he or she will need to depart the building by 2:30 p.m. each day. Please contact your child’s respective grade office if there is an extenuating circumstance.
