Our jazz ensembles are open to all students.  Auditions may be necessary.  Please see Mr. Shaner if you have any questions. Students will be grouped by entrance ability into large and small ensembles.

Students must be enrolled in Jackson High School Jazz Ensembles for credit.  Please call the front office at JHS, (517) 841-3723, or your counselor at the the high school.  Students cannot attend if they don't appear on the school attendance roster.  

Students:  Your attendance is very important!  You must attend class to learn, rehearse and eventually perform with Jackson High School Jazz.

You can get your own listening copy from Mr. Shaner.  Bring a recordable CD or flash drive and we can put it on.  Also, get your Improvisation Packet and get to work!
