Bennett School has been in existence for over 145 years, first opening its doors in 1869. The original building was replaced with a new structure in 1968.
    Bennett school serves approximately 300 students in kindergarten through second grade. Bennett is located in a neighborhood setting near West Ave, just south of the corner of Bennett and North St.


    The curriculum at Bennett Elementary School is set forth by Jackson Public Schools and is aligned to the State of Michigan Standards and Benchmarks. In addition to our self-contained K-2 classrooms, we offer multiple programs and resources for students with disabilities, including a Cognitively Impaired classroom, Hearing Impaired classroom, and resource room, plus speech, physical therapy, occupational therapy, teacher consultant and social work services.
