Title IX

Title IX is a federal civil rights law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex in any education program or activity that receives federal funding. It covers students, staff, and visitors — including sexual harassment, sexual assault, pregnancy/parenting status, gender identity, and equal access to programs, activities, and athletics. JPS must provide a clear way to report concerns, offer supportive measures, and follow a fair grievance process. Retaliation for reporting or participating in a Title IX matter is prohibited.
