Frequently Asked Questions

There are 2 ways to access PowerSchool:

1. From your computer PowerSchool Parent Portal login
2. Download the free mobile app available for smartphones in your App Store.

This is the code needed to set up your PowerSchool Mobile app

Make sure that you set up a parent account & are not using your student’s account. You will need to remember the username & password that you created for your account. This can be reset if you forgot what you chose for these. Students only need to know their assigned username & password that was assigned by the school to login.

This can usually only be done by accessing PS through the website. The option to add a student isn’t available on the mobile app. Once you have gotten the username & password for the student that you want to add, go to the PS website (via the JPS website) & sign in to your account. On the left-hand side all the way at the bottom
you will see “Account Preferences” click on this. Next, click on the “Students” tab. You will then see an “Add” button to the right. Click on this & you will be able to add more students.

Try to uninstall & then reinstall the PowerSchool App. Sometimes you also have to clear your browser history. This will happen often when the new school year starts & is trying to update.
