Martin DuBois, Principal
Welcome video for Frost Elementary Principal Martin Dubois (3rd - 5th Grade)- 2018/2019 Jackson Public Schools.
Our staff is highly trained and dedicated to helping all students be successful. We are constantly looking for better more creative ways to reach our student through research based interventions and proven educational practices. We believe that all students can learn, achieve and succeed. We are also dedicated to help your child grow emotionally and socially. With the implementation of a behavior specialist this year we are making huge gains in reducing behavior issues.
At Jackson Public Schools we strive for excellence. We are focused on creating students who are workforce ready and are lifelong learners. At Frost, through our Leader in Me program, we teach students about being proactive and beginning with the end in mind. These are critical skills for any person in the workforce as they require that we think first about what we want to accomplish and then think about all the steps that need to be taken in order to get to that point. We also teach about understanding different viewpoints and perspectives that others may have and how doing this creates an environment where all people are working together to achieve the common good.
To promote lifelong learning, among the many things that we do is take our students outside of school to engage in hands-on learning experiences that are designed to get them interested in the world around them. This past year with the support of our PTO, we were able to send our students to the Dahlem Nature Center in order to learn about the environment and to open their eyes to the world outside of the city. This type of hands on learning is priceless.
We are very excited about you and your student joining us for this school year and look forward to a great year of learning! GO VIKINGS!
