Superintendent, Jeff Beal

It is a great day to be a Viking!  We welcome you back to the 2018/2019 school year with excitement for the future of Jackson Public Schools and your student!  Across the district, from bus drivers to custodians, food service associates to administrative support professionals, principals to teachers, we are all committed to making sure our students are on the pathway to success. We are ready!  It is the mission of Jackson Public Schools to create a culture that helps your student attain academic excellence and workforce readiness skills in a safe and nurturing environment.  We envision your student graduating from Jackson Public Schools not only prepared for the future but, with a thirst for lifelong learning.

This year begins the work of our recently passed bond.  There will be renovations to every building at JPS and all classrooms will receive new furniture.  The renovations will address 21st Century Learning spaces as well as upgrades to security, music, athletics and structural needs. Because of the scope of the bond projects, there will be work scheduled over the next 4 years to complete all of the components.  We all are excited for the changes and must all remember to be patient through the building process. You can stay in the know by subscribing to our YouTube Channel, Jackson Public Schools Vikings, and of course our website for periodic progress videos. This is an exciting time for Jackson Public Schools and I hope that you will work with your child’s teacher and building principal to be involved and part of the growth of our District.

As your Superintendent and father of five JPS students, I will work tirelessly to ensure that all students are learning and growing.  I am thrilled when I am able to make my way into classrooms to see the learning taking place and the interactions with our children that teach them so much! We have an amazing faculty and wonderful students and I want to thank you for making Jackson Public Schools a place Where Community Comes Together.
