Weekly announcements 2/27

Good evening Viking! This is Mr. Lewis with your weekly announcements.

Seniors, this is a reminder that your cap and gown orders as well as your senior dues are due now. You can check in with Mrs. Napolski and Mrs. Talmage to be sure you have everything turned in and ordered.

Our second trimester will end on March 4. Exams will take place on March 2, 3, and 4 with an early dismissal on both March 3 and 4.


As we eagerly look to begin our last trimester of the year we have found success in our return to in person and have many resources to assist them if they struggle. Our credit recovery model has proven a success and we will continue to put you in a place to be successful. Our biggest struggle is with attendance. You cannot be your best if you are not here all day. Please make plans to attend all of your classes and give your best effort in each. Please reach out to me, our counselors, or any of your teachers if you have any questions about how to assist your young person with a more successful plan.

Our counselors are continuing with their work with students for their schedules for next year. Be sure to speak to your Viking about next year’s schedule plans.

The JHS Viking Ambassadors AUCTION “Once A Viking…Always A Viking…What’s Your Viking Story” will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022. The money raised at this auction is used to support scholarships and mini-grants for various programs at JHS. Please mark your calendar for the Ambassadors Auction and plan to join this virtual event. If you would like to participate please go to www.JHSAmbassador22.givesmart.com

If you would like to learn how your child could earn a certificate, an Associates degree, or up to 60 transferable credits at little to no cost and are the parent of an 8th, 9th, or 10th grader, there will be an informational meeting on March 10 at 5:00pm at Jackson High School. If you have any questions prior to, please contact Jean Logan at 517-581-2003.

If your child is not part of an athletic team, a club, or the after school program he or she will need to depart the building by 2:30 p.m. each day. Please contact your child’s respective grade office if there is an extenuating circumstance.

Good luck to our athletes who will be competing in districts this week or finishing up their regular season. Let’s get that Viking Victory!
