Weekly Announcements 9/26

Good evening Vikings, This Is Mr. Lewis with your weekly announcements.
September is quickly coming to an end as we look forward to everything that October will bring. Students are seemingly settling into a routine and we appreciate you encouraging them to be on time to their classes, be engaged, and be inquirers.

Seniors who are interested in taking the SAT for the first time or those who would like to retake it must use this link to sign up. The test will take place on October 13 at JHS. Check your senior newsletter for the link to sign up!

Homecoming will be held on October 15, 2021. If you are a JHS alumni, we also invite you to attend this game!! The parade will begin at Walmart at 6:00 pm. The football game will begin at 7:00 pm with the Homecoming Court winners announced at halftime. The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday October 16 from 8:00-11:00 pm. All guests must have a form completed. These forms can be found in each grade office.

JHS is a closed campus. This means that once the bell rings for the start of school, students are to remain on campus until the final bell rings at 2:17 unless you have permission from a parent, or your schedule includes going to work, the Career Center, or college classes. Furthermore, we do not allow students to have food delivered from local restaurants via DoorDash or any other food service.

If you or your child are not feeling well, are awaiting a COVID-19 test result, are symptomatic, and/or are in close contact with a positive individual….PLEASE STAY HOME. Thank you to our families who have been following these guidelines.

Good luck to all of our athletes competing this week. Weekly athletic schedules are emailed each week from our Viking Athletic department.
