Good Evening Vikings. This is Mr. Lewis with your weekly announcements. It seems that the weather outside has turned cool and Fall is well upon us. Please dress for the season and understand that we do not allow coats in the classroom. The Thanksgiving season is upon and we will have class on Monday and Tuesday of this week. There will be no school Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.

Tomorrow we will hold Homeroom at the start of the day so students can get their new schedules. The AM Career Center bus will leave after Homeroom at 7:45 am from the bus loop. Tuesday’s classes will follow the regular schedule and Thanksgiving break will begin with no classes being held Wednesday- Friday.

After School Tutoring will resume on Monday, November 22, 2021 and be held from 2:30- 4:00 p.m. Sessions will be held Monday- Thursday. If your student has the last name A-K he/she should report to room 207. If your student has the last name L-Z, he/she should report to room 205. Students need to report to class by 2:30 p.m. and no later or they will be referred to Mr. Coffie and need to be picked up.

Jackson High School’s Theatre Department presents…John Shepherd’s, “A Christmas Story” on November 26 and 27 at 7:00 p.m. and on November 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the JHS auditorium.

Seniors, be sure to check the senior newsletter and complete your diploma order as they are due on December 1 along with Senior yearbook pictures. Senior pictures need to be taken to Ms. Vinitski is room 311.

As we begin to plan for our Christmas teacher celebration we are in need of items for teacher Christmas bags such as snacks, stationary, tissues, monetary donations and/or gift cards. You can bring them to the Welcome Center or send them with your young person to give to Mrs. Edwards.

Masks are required for all students while inside of our building. If you or your child are not feeling well, are awaiting a COVID-19 test result, are symptomatic, and/or are in close contact with a positive individual….PLEASE STAY HOME.
