Book Fair
Help is needed to monitor students, locate items and work the register.
Classroom Helpers
Teachers occasionally need some extra help. Sign up as a helper and we will call you when the need arises for short-term classroom assistance.
Family Fun Nights
We need volunteers to help at check-in, monitor activities and run the concession stand.
Field Day
Help supervise and keep our participants hydrated at this end-of-year fun day held at Jackson High School.
Picture Day
Parents are needed to assist students throughout the process.

Dances are planned and produced by the Student Council, but we need parent chaperones to help monitor and work the concession stand.

PAVE runs this family event. We need volunteers to help check-in, monitor activities in the gym and run the concession stand.
Lunch Monitoring
Be an extra set of eyes and ears in the cafeteria during lunch. Chat with students and guide them through the red/yellow/green system, and alert staff to any issues requiring immediate attention
PAVE Group (Parkside Adult Volunteers for Education)
Parkside Adult Volunteers for Education, Parkside's PTO group hosts monthly meetings and invites all family members and staff to become involved in school activities and more.
The goal of PAVE is to support Parkside through volunteering, donations & fundraising. We believe that the school needs parents and community members involved to be successful and to enrich the children's learning experience.

Dance Chaperones
Dances are planned and produced by the Student Council, but we need parent chaperones to help monitor and work the concession stand.
Graduation
May: Work in shifts at graduation to sell flowers and water.
Homecoming Float
September-October: Provide location for float building, gather materials, drive the float, provide a flatbed trailer, and monitor students as they work.
Parent Network Member
Attend monthly meetings, chaperone or volunteer with school sponsored activities when needed.
Parent Teacher Conferences
During conferences sell shirts, provide donation cards, receive donations, encourage others to sign-up to volunteer.
Personal Item & Food Drive
Ongoing: Donate gently used or new coats, gloves, hats, scarfs, shoes, etc. Also, donate non-perishable food items, donate money, solicit donations, assist students in collecting items which may require a vehicle.
Picture Day
Parents are needed to assist with directing students throughout the process.
Powder Puff Football
October: Lady Vikings from each grade compete in flag football. Need volunteers to coach, guide practices and the game.
